Trey is in Germany and in the 12 days he's gone, the remains of hurricane Sandy will pass over Vermont (maybe taking our electricity along with it), the kids will go trick or treating in an inevitable downpour, I will start my new part-time job in tech transfer at the university, Ellis will have to instruct me in properly tying him into his hockey gear, and America will choose the next president. I'm tired just thinking about it.
